Manpower are proud to be working alongside our client in their search for a talented Process Engineering Lead.

A position with a high level of responsibility, you will be based out of their large scale manufacturing premises in St Helens. Reporting to the Process Manager, you will be responsible for analysing and improving manufacturing processes throughout the manufacturing premises within the UK & Europe.

While working on a number of existing projects to improve manufacturing processes and technology, you will also have the opportunity to create, develop and execute your own projects, based on the research and data you gather that will help increase production, reduce operational costs and adhere to health & safety

Your initial challenges for this role will include :

- Possessing the ability to collaborate across various department in order to ensure
process methods are being adhered to
- Having the analytic mindset required to perform various site trials, recording and analysis of the results and implementing successful methodologies across several manufacturing facilities (both in the UK & abroad)
- Being people orientated, and sharing Process developments with Senior Management and Key Stakeholders throughout the business (either verbally or in a presentation format)
- Having the desire to constantly learn about new and exciting methods of manufacturing processes and technologies, and having the mindset to trial methods that may be unorthodox

This role will be a mostly office based position, with sporadic visits to the Site manufacturing premises. You will also be spending 20-30% of your time in various manufacturing sites in the UK & abroad.

Due to the immediate challenges that will arise in a position with such responsibility, our client are expecting you to already possess a number of different skills and qualifications, including:

A degree focused around Engineering or Science
- Proven experience of leading a Projects team on Process Improvement projects
- Relevant work experience of CAD Software
- Recent appreciation or up to date knowledge of Six Sigma/Lean Manufacturing techniques
- A full UK Driving license (due to extensive travel)
