Are you interested in shaping a global office and content network for an increasingly distributed media company? At Future we are looking for a skilled Network Engineer to join our team. You'll be working closely with the Senior Network Engineer and Systems Engineering team to provide technical support/consultancy, day to day maintenance and monitoring of the networking infrastructure (hardware, software and security) both LAN and WAN, for both corporate and internet networks. You'll assist in designing, deploying and operating a hybrid-cloud infrastructure, with server deployments across multiple locations and a corporate environment capable of supporting hundreds of data-hungry content producers around the world. Once familiar with the infrastructure, you'll join Futures out-of-hours support rota with the network and systems team. You'll have an interest in carrier grade network operation, and familiarity with working with multi-site or resilient network environments. Preferably you'll have some understanding of advanced routing and architecture as well as being comfortable using command line interfaces. Some understanding of Linux server systems and system administration is also preferable. You'll be customer focused with good communication skills and be able to deliver a high quality of service, demonstrate a flexible attitude and be proactive. A systematic and analytical approach to problem solving is essential. You will need to be a self-starter and be able to operate independently to achieve the team objectives. If you fancy a new challenge and want to progress your career in IT networks where you can shape the direction of Future's global network aspirations with a complex scalable network across international locations we would love to hear from you. To apply you'll need to submit your CV and a covering letter telling us why you would be a great fit for this role.
