We are working with a leading retail business based in North Nottingham, they are looking for a store communications manager to join their team. The role will be to manage the in-store communications marketing team responsible for planning and delivering the customer plan and programme of marketing activity in relation to category and range change activity. In addition, provide marketing support for window communications, new stores, new formats, and trials.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Manage in store marketing briefs for company wide range change activity and category marketing to shape the customer brand communication at point of purchase and drive conversion and impact demonstrated through understanding of customer needs, competitive landscape and business objectives.
  • Work collaboratively with the CMT’s to translate the category strategy into effective brand communication and demonstrate ROI.
  • Manage the In-store Communications Marketing team to deliver and sign off of POS, in line with critical paths and managing relationships with internal and external agency support to ensure delivery of POS to stores on time and if any issues arise meet despatch times to stores.
  • Build strong partnerships with internal stakeholders to deliver excellent RFT execution of initiatives to maximise category growth across all areas.
  • Support all category reviews and re-launches with all relevant functions to ensure all projects are delivered on time and to a consistently high standard.
  • Write and deliver store briefing packs for each campaign.
  • Manage the marketing budget assigned to range change & category marketing activity, identifying cost efficiencies
  • Experience

  • Prior experience operating at management level
  • Proven experience in the Retail Industry
  • Prior experience in below the line marketing
  • Strong brand and visual skills.
  • Significant experience in POS management and fully conversant In developing POS processes
  • Expertise in managing multiple campaigns in a busy environment
  • Adept at understanding customer insight and research.
  • Ability to take accountability of the full end to end process of development.
  • Agency management experience essential.
  • Strong supplier negotiation skills
  • Ability to write creative briefs
  • Strong project Management skills
  • Managing and working with multiple external agencies
  • Communication and influencing skills to engage audiences at various levels
  • Budget Management experience
