An unusual but exciting opportunity has arisen for a nursing home manager to manage a beautiful nursing home in the Kidderminster area of Worcestershire.

My client is an established healthcare provider who has been operating successfully for over 20years. They have a high concentration of homes across the West Midlands and have exciting plans to expand in the new year. They are in search of someone to take the reigns of a beautiful nursing home in Kidderminster. The current manager has managed the nursing home for over 20years and is now set to retire. This beautiful nursing home has been very well loved by its manager over the years and possesses a fantastic reputation in the local area. It is fully compliant with CQC and has been accredited with the Gold Standards Framework. They are in search of someone who is clinically strong to join the team and work alongside the current manager for a short period of time until the current manager officially retires next year.

You will work alongside the manager and become involved in the day to day management of the home, staff recruitment, training and appraisals, staff rotas, weekly and monthly audits, budget monitoring, care plan implementation, liaising with external bodies, attendance at management meetings and adhering to CQC standards and regulations.

You must be a qualified nurse and have experience within a nursing home environment. This is an unusual opportunity as it gives the successful individual the opportunity to ‘learn the ropes’ from the home’s current manager. The salary will increase once the home’s manager officially retires next year.

This role could be ideal for an ambitious deputy nursing home manager ready for their first step into nursing home management or perhaps for someone who is looking to manage a beautiful stable home in the Kidderminster area.
