Engineering Training Adviser - CNC
An excellent opportunity for a experienced trainer or a skilled Machinist/toolmaker looking to move into the training sector to develop the engineers of the future.
You will be developing and mentoring apprentices in CNC Machining from Level II to Level III which includes CNC lathe, turning and conventional milling.
Based primarily in our recently refurbished Engineering Innovation Centre Workshop you will be delivering classroom and practical sessions. You will also visit apprentices at their work placements to further assess their skills and development, while developing opportunities for future business with employers.
If required, you will receive both on the job and formal training in the assessing and teaching profession which will result in a recognised Assessors Qualification (A1/TAQA/PTLS).
You will have specific industry qualifications or experience relating to CNC, lathe and miller operations.
You will work with the departments Functional Skills Tutor to develop the maths, English and ICT skills of your Apprentices.
