Main responsibilities

* Ensure all UK site paperwork is received into Head Office on a weekly basis
* Collate and distribute the Finance post to the correct personnel within the department
* Check that all invoices have been approved and authorised correctly in accordance with Synexus authority levels
* Ensure all study related invoices are coded correctly
* Input all the purchase invoices onto the system two working days before the end of the month
* Complete and post the all UK site bank reconciliations by the last working day of the month
* Prepare weekly payments runs for review by the Finance Manager
* Review weekly petty cash returns and issue cheques
* Reconcile customer statements
* Review staff expenses using our online portal, Webexpenses, and process for payment
* Issue cheques and vouchers for GP mailshot invoices
* Build a good working relationship and answer any queries with suppliers to ensure correct payment of invoices
* Ensure efficient payment of employee expense claims
* General filing and archiving
* Any other tasks responsiblewithin the role of finance

Ideal candidate
To be successful in the role you will have:

* Experience of using an accounts system and Excel (1-2 years or experience equivalent)
* Our Finance system is currently Microsoft Navision. Experience of this is not required as training will be provided
* Basic knowledge of excel and pivot tables
* Experience of Oracle is desirable
