Support Services Manager (Hospitality/Maintenance/Housekeeping) £40-45K p.a. Full-time The Cinnamon Care Collection is an exclusive group of luxury care homes and retirement developments occupying beautiful locations around the country. We are proud to announce our first Village, Emmerson Park & Grange based in Hextable, Kent. This will comprise a state-of-the-art 85 bed Care home, Emerson Grange, together with 45 luxury independent apartments set within the grounds. Providing all the benefits of a socially vibrant community, Emmerson Park will offer a gym, hair salon, cinema and clubhouse room for a wide range of activities and social events. The Support Services Manager role will be to manage, develop and support the high quality services in catering, laundry, housekeeping and maintenance (Support Services) in the Cinnamon Village. Meeting all statutory and company requirements, delivering a consistent high-quality service, which is safe, efficient and cost effective at all times. The Support Services Manager (SSM) will lead these operations ensuring that they are run smoothly within the home. The SSM will ensure that residents are safe, comfortable and happy. All areas of the village will be presented to the highest standard. The Support Manager will ensure that support functions are compliant with current legislation. You will need excellent communication skills when liaising with team members, residents and family members. Key Responsibilities To recruit in conjunction with the General Manager, train and manage all team members in catering, housekeeping, laundry and maintenance departments, ensuring that performance standards are understood and adhered to.Prepare in conjunction with the General Manager, monitor, control and manage budgets. Ensure departments us nominated suppliers for all non-care supplies in line with the company procedures.Ensure that the head chef delivers a catering service of the highest standard in terms of presentation, nutritional standards and menu content, working closely with the Head Chef in achieving a quality service which is value for money.Monitor and support the dining areas, club room and room service ensuring that the Cinnamon standards are met always.Talk to residents at least daily, consider feedback and make changes accordingly. Ensure residents likes and dislikes are documented, and catering teams are aware of resident's nutritional needs.Ensure that communal areas of the Village, suites, bedrooms and team areas are presented to the highest standard and are safe.Ensure that the laundry operation delivers a quality and timely service to the residents, serviced apartments and catering team.Team rotas should be complete with adequate resources available at all time, with no agency usage for cover.Ensure that the maintenance service is effective and safe, ensuring that legislative and mandatory checks are completed on time. Escalate any concerns to the Group Support Services Manager.Be prepared to work hands-on alongside team members when team shortages occur, irrespective of shift patterns and days of the week. Person Specification/requirements: We are looking for someone with strong leadership experience, someone who has led teams in a hospitality environment.
