This role will require you to work in an innovative Science department that is committed to inspiring its pupils to achieve and develop a love and passion for science. More specifically, you will be working in Chemistry classes to support students who are finding it hard to grasp some aspects of classroom activities and exam preparation. You will primarily be working with Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5 students, however you may be required to support in other Chemistry lessons from time to time. You may also be expected to support in other areas of the Science department, and when you are more confident you will have the opportunity to create and lead your own practical and theoretical classes to various year groups.

You will need to have a calm and friendly approach to ensure that you get the best out of your pupils. You will need to be passionate about your subject and creating inventive experiments and interesting classes. It is essential that you have a Chemistry or other related degree with a minimum of a 2:1. Some experience is desirable, but if you show passion and commitment then don't worry! You will need an element of flexibility and adaptability in sometimes unpredictable times within the school environment.
