We are currently recruiting for a Specifications Support Technician to work within our Central Quality department at our Telford site. The role will report into the Operational Systems Manager. The main focus of the role will be to manage and develop internal and external customer specifications in line with business requirements and customer expectations. The successful cadndaite will be required to communicate customer requirements highlighted through retailer websites that facilitates necessary actions.

Your challenge

In this role the key responsibilities will include:

* Use of internal and external specification systems including; e.g. Domino, Q-Pulse, M&S, Tesco, Sainsbury, Aldi, Iceland and other retailer specification systems.
* Management of Company contacts, alerts and communications on Booker, Morrison's, Tesco retailer web systems.
* Management of specification schedule to allow prioritisation of specification completion.
* Administration and completion of Muller and relevant retailer specifications including: Tesco, Co-op, Sainsbury's, Iceland, Aldi, Booker, M&S, Spar, Musgrave, Morrison's, Booths and 'middle ground market' , working with team to prioritise as required ensuring specifications completed in line with business and customer expectations and deadlines.
* Sourcing accurate data for all sections of specifications i.e. packaging, HACCP, nutritional and shelf life information etc.
* Knowledge of Muller products and customer products for each producing site.
* Support Evolve process and provide timely updates to live projects within Creations.
* Knowledge of customer and internal processes to ensure specifications are provided in line with overall project timings.
* Understanding of Q-Pulse system.
* Team player with other users to identify and solve issues relating to document control and the general operation of the system.
* Support the move of documents from system to system.
* Manage current issue of group documentation from the intranet to ensure correct issue number on Q-Pulse.
* Manage and support projects within Muller when requested.
* Highlight best practice recommendations that can be shared across specification websites.
* Support adherence to Operational systems and identify and highlight development opportunities where appropriate.
* Establish valued and relevant communication forums with team and cross-functionally across the business.

Key skills & experience:

* Food or science background is desirable.
* Customer systems is desirable.
* Q-pulse experience is desirable.
* PC literate - familiar with Lotus Notes and Microsoft Word and Excel.
* Working knowledge of internal systems.
* Knowledge of Muller and Customer products/processes and expectations including Evolve process.
* Background in Food/Dairy would be advantageous.
