Field Service Engineer - Medical Devices - Birmingham

A Birmingham based Medical Devices company are currently looking for an experienced Field Service Engineer to join them and help with internal service engineering and external client service engineering.

Due to the mixture of on site work and client base work, you can expect to only spend 50% of your time on travelling, due to this you will ideally live in the West Midlands region.

Your specific work with be on the service, maintain, repair and validate complex medical devices within lab environments. From a service engineer point of view, you will need to be comfortable in taking apart, repairing and putting together complex electrical medical devices or lab equipment.

Ideally you will hold a HNC or degree within a electronics, mechanical or engineering field, however practical experience as a field service engineer will be more important.

You will be operating as the face of the company when attending client sites, so clear and professional communication skills will be vital.

Apart from a generous starting salary, you will have access to a pool car, company mobile phone, laptop and other company benefits. As you will need to drive to client sites, you will need a full UK drivers licence.

Due to the unique nature of the role meaning you will not need to travel as often, I expect there to be a lot of interest in this role. With this in mind, if you are interested I suggest you make an application now.
