Engineering Manager (DAS/Small Cells)

Based in Borehamwood

Paying circa £60k-£70k which is negotiable for the right candidate

The Opportunity

We are looking for an Engineering Manager to act as front line lead (reporting into the CTO) for all In building, DAS & Small Cell design and related work. The role provides an opportunity to join an established and highly regarded telecoms infrastructure company who are a key player in the wireless industry. Their small cell solution now leads the UK for the deployment of such systems connecting venues such as Sports Stadiums, Retail, Business & Commercial, Transport, Hospitality, Healthcare and Education as well as outdoor networks. This is the future of telecoms and with the increase in connected products, IOT and 5G networks, our client have been heavily backed financially to help build and improve their networks and have a strong future ahead of them which you can be part of.

The Role

The Engineering Manager (DAS/ Small Cells) will work closely with the sub contract I&C partners to ensure that their work is of a suitable standard. You will oversee all design and associated works and will blend technical acumen regarding cellular network design alongside contract management of the I&C contract partners.

The Candidate

The ideal Engineering Manager will have a strong background in cellular or wireless network design and also have some good experience of management of sub contract partners. The role and company are very much hands on. This is a type of company where you are expected to be heavily involved in all projects and be expected to be a problem solver and self-starter. We have experienced candidates in the past who look good on paper, but have had the support of a strong PMO doing a lot of the work for them. On this case, you will be the person who works to gets the job done without much direction so we need an all-rounder who can count upon the support of the CTO when required.

The Package

Salary around the £60k to £70k level with car allowance, pension (employee 3%, company 9%), health care (employee and immediate family) and discretionary bonus to 10% of annual salary subject to performance.
