This secondary school is searching for a Maths graduate who is really passionate about the field of Mathematics and wants to use their academic knowledge to inspire the next generation of Mathematicians. You will have graduated from university with a 2:1 or higher in your Maths degree and have a sound academic background with strong A-levels in Maths in particular.

You must be an excellent communicator and open to a career in education as a Maths teacher. Any previous experience involving tutoring or mentoring is desirable as you will have picked up many transferrable skills.

As a Graduate Learning Mentot in this Sheffield school you will be working specifically within the Maths department. You will be working almost exclusively with students who are doing their GCSEs who have a range of abilities from those gifted and talented students who need that extra push to achieve the top grades, to those who need extra attention to achieve a C (4/5) grade at GCSE.

You will work with small groups and on a 1:1 basis both inside and outside of the classroom and you must find ways to motivate students to fulfil their potential.

The school is highly regarded within the South Yorkshire area and has excellent standards in both Academics and behaviour. The school has seen an increase in the number of students achieving a C or higher in Maths at GCSE and the school needs a Maths graduate with excellent academic knowledge to continue this success!

You will be supported throughout your time at the school by experienced and newly qualified Maths teachers who will assist you in your career development. The skills you pick up during your time at the school will set you perfectly for you teacher training and the rest of your teaching career.
