Persimmon Homes are looking for an energetic team player to join its busy Training & Systems Support Team working from its Head Office in York.

Persimmon is a FTSE 100 listed housebuilder and one of the largest developers of mainstream housing in the UK. The company is undergoing immense growth and to support this, it has in the pipeline a number of new and hugely exciting strategic technology projects.

The key task for this IT Trainer role will be to deliver high quality training to Persimmon staff ensuring our users can reliably and securely operate our key systems. The delivery of target based training enables our business to consistently operate at maximum efficiency and productivity.

Other key responsibilities for the IT Trainer will include:
• Contributing to the creation and on-going development of training materials and other documents such as help cards, handouts, manuals and exercises.
• Training new system users, provide on-site coaching and support plus other implementation assistance where applicable.
• Providing 2nd line support to the IT Service Desk, analyse problems to determine their solutions and contact users to resolve their problems.
The IT Trainer is an important role within the IT Department and is a key interface between the IT department and users of our key business systems. To be successful, you will need a strong, training background, preferably within a similar role, supported by a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office. You should also have a good appreciation of business systems, and ideally have some knowledge of financial and costing systems.

Other essential skills and attributes for the IT Trainer role include:
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to liaise with internal and external personnel
• Flexible and willing to work away from home as regular travel will be required
• Full UK driving licence is a requirement of this role.
