Quality Assurance Co-ordinator - up to £30k - Tamworth
Groomfield Recruitment is working on behalf of their valued client based in Tamworth, they are looking to recruit an experienced Quality Assurance Co-ordinator to start ASAP on a permanent basis.
Responsibilities of a Quality Assurance Co-ordinator include;
·To support the Quality & Operations Manager in fulfillment of all functions pertained within the Quality department objectives.
·To create, identify, improve and develop the use of the Quality departmental KPI’s.
·Management of the ISO 9001:2015 standards and audits with external auditors, ensuring related actions are implemented and maintained.
·Responsibility for coordinating the internal audit program, calibration process and customer complaints system, using data to produce KPI’s to identify issues and opportunities to improve.
·Accountability for raising issues relating to non-conformance, engaging support as required from all areas of the business
·Effectively engage and communicate pro-actively with the buying, production and technical departments.
·Approve specifications on packaging materials and the use of PPAP (Product Part Approval Process) tools as required.
·Monitor and report on the Customer Management System and supplier notification systems.
·Support the buying department with supplier improvement and development.
·Drive a cultural change in problem resolution in leading and mentoring teams in the use of 8D, Ishikawa, 5why, PFMEA, and six sigma methodologies.
·Assist in supporting projects for development of control planning across all departments’ activities.
·Work with the production and technical departments in the management of non-conformance through to resolution of issues arising from batch Sample testing.
·Support new product introduction and ensure control of products arriving meet department requirements.
Skills / Experience of a Quality Assurance Co-ordinator include;
·A knowledgeable understanding of ISO 9001:2015 from a manufacturing environment
·Good understanding of the principles of product quality evaluation and control
·Good knowledge of 8D, PFMEA, associated Quality tools and PPAP
·Capable to manage and prioritise work load in a fast paced manufacturing environment
·Excellent communication skills
·Computer literacy, experience of SAP, SharePoint, Excel
·Trained as an Internal Auditor is desirable but not essential
·Good knowledge of 6 Sigma methodology is desirable but not essential
Hours of work – Monday to Friday 8.30am – 5.00pm (1 hour lunch)
Salary – up to £30,000 depending upon experience
