Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities:

·Raising Purchase Orders (POs) and thoroughly checking all details

·Issuing POs to suppliers in a timely manner

·Where necessary: amending dates, items and quantities on POs

·Issue EAN/ Bar code information & Labeling to suppliers, perform a weekly check for any changes and reissue these changes.

·Contacting suppliers for an updates on the status of POs. Then using this information to participate in internal meetings.

·Effectively use the PO systems and be able to question data and follow up PO queries.

·Ensure a high level of data integrity/ accuracy in PO issuance.

·Manage day to day queries and issues from suppliers on POs and ensure that delays to expected shipment dates from supplier are communicated to relevant Buying & Merchandising teams (& across Retail and Wholesale channels) providing accurate information to key stakeholders on delivery issues

·Provide input to the Critical Path and PO chasing meetings with the Logistics, Buying & Merchandising teams.

·Communication and coordination with Shipping/Logistics Team – providing information on the latest ex-factory dates in order that they can arrange transportation of goods.

·Excellent communication and ability to build rapport and develop collaborative working relationship with colleagues, suppliers and others at all levels.

As Wholesale Merchandiser you will be responsible for Purchase Order (PO) release, checks and amendments for your own department(s). Weekly tasks will include contacting suppliers for PO status updates, revising POs where necessary and reporting on these findings with reports and in weekly meetings with the Logistics/Shipping and Senior management teams. You will also be in charge of issuing EAN/barcode information to suppliers and reissuing any changes.

In particular this role requires you have an excellent attention to detail and are confident when communicating with others in a clear and concise manner.

The successful candidate will be confident working with numbers, Excel and large amounts of data. All training will be on the job but some prior excel experience (pivot tables, vlookups would be advantageous.
