Test Analyst / Nottingham / £45,000 – £55,000

My client are an award winning software house admired for their innovative approach to development, with a strong delivery focus working across multiple industries. They are looking for a hands-on QA consultant with a minimum of 5 years relevant experience to contribute to a varied range of test projects.

Role responsibilities

To provide first class testing services
  • Lead a small team of testers within an Agile environment.
  • Create non-functional Test Plans for areas such as Performance, Stress, Load, Resilience, Availability and Operational testing.
  • Enterprise and support the creation of the technical testing strategies.
  • Deliver logical/ physical data analysis of complex systems.
  • Provide consultancy services to our clients, including advice, best practice, and test-related processes.
  • While not responsible for lead generation, you will be required to have knowledge of the market at competitors.
Skills and Qualifications

  • The flexibility, intelligence and motivation to work in a variety of business domains.
  • Ability to take ownership for areas of a test plan and work with others to execute that plan.
  • Confident communicating at a technical level across the business in order to create well informed test plans and scripts.
  • Firm understanding of a range of technologies.
  • History of successful delivery of technical test work packages.
  • Solid experience of functional and non-functional testing.
  • A broad range of project delivery lifecycle, ideally using a number of methodologies (e.g. SCRUM, XP, DSDM, RUP etc).
  • Experience of enterprise level automation and test management tools.
  • Hands-on experience of contemporary tools, utilities and methodologies such as JMeter, NeoLoad, Selenium, Fitnesse, Cucumber, Cloud Testing, Mobile Testing and Big Data.
  • Knowledge of use of UNIX and Windows environments for development and/or testing.
  • A sound knowledge of testing is expected and should range from unit level testing to large system non-functional testing.
  • The ability to lead, motivate and develop a team.
