Software Implementation / Technical Support Consultant
£30,000 + mileage allowance + excellent benefits

Our client, a leading IT software company is currently recruiting for a customer-focused Software Implementation Engineer/Consultant to work alongside clients in supporting the installation and commission of software projects from their Leeds Head Office. In addition, this person will be responsible for providing 1st and 2nd line technical support and assisting with pre-sales enquiries, delivering product management and project coordination as required.

Suitable candidates may be experienced in technical support but with the confidence and expertise to interact directly with customers, or be undertaking a similar Implementations role currently. You will also need proven ability to work in a fast-paced projects environment, be confident in handling support escalations and complaints, as well as presenting to groups or individuals. The role will also involve site visits and remote installations, so a full clean driving license is essential.

Job Description

Working alongside the Technical Team, key duties of the role will include:

? Providing first and second line technical support to internal and external customers
? Conducting on-site and remote installations with customers, prospects and partners
? Assisting the sales team with pre-sales technical consultancy, remote demos, product training and new testing, as well as proactively identifying sales opportunities
? Updating start-up, install guides and patches documents
? Coordinating larger installation projects across multiple sites and leading a small project team
? Additional internal IT support and administration

Person Specification

To be considered for the role, you will need to demonstrate:

? Ideally educated to degree level or equivalent
? Proven experience in either implementations or technical support
? Competency in MS Windows OS and applications and ideally LINUX or MacOS
? Knowledge of MySQL databases, TCP/IP networking, Active Directory (AD) / LDAP authentication systems and any agile development methodologies would be a distinct advantage
? Ability to work on own initiative in a fast-paced environment
? Good problem solving and customer service skills
? Commercially savvy, proactive with a strong work ethic
