We have a fantastic opportunity join our education team at HMP Northumberland as a Sessional Trainer - Vocational on a sessional (ADHOC) basis. We are looking for Trainers in a wide range of subjects including Construction, Plumbing, Painting and Decorating and Hospitality and Catering.

HMP Northumberland is a category C prison holding around 1300 adult male prisoners. Within HMP Northumberland Novus is addressing the skills needs of its residents, and thereby improving their prospects on release. This is being achieved by delivering a varied curriculum including Functional Skills, vocational trades, business, IT and a variety of employability skills.

The purpose of these roles is to deliver high quality learner focused vocational training to meet contractual requirements and Awarding Body standards.

To do this successfully you`ll need to:
Have experience in your vocational specialism.
Hold at least a Level 2 qualification in Literacy and Numeracy.
Hold a Level 3 subject specific qualification.
Have a commitment to gain an assessor award required by relevant Awarding Bodies
