Head of Care (Learning Disabilities, Autism and Complex Communications Disorders)


A Specialist School for Children and Young People with Autistic Spectrum Disorder, Asperger Syndrome and associated learning, communication and behavioural difficulties and Pathological Demand Avoidance (PDA).


Within allocated areas of responsibility the post holder will have the following duties


It will be the responsibility of the post holder to develop and maintain the provision within the Autism and Complex Communications Disorders Team

Continue to develop our outstanding provision in our purpose built specialist Autism schools programme
Deliver Inspiration and motivational leadership and provide stability across the school
Play a major role in the development of our new Autism schools

Principal Teacher (Learning disabilities, Autism and Complex Communications Disorders) Closing date is not yet set as my client would like to pick the right individual for this school and their organisation hence the process is not being rushed.


The school's residential facility offers modern, home-style living accommodation for up to 36 children in 6 attractive houses within the school grounds. Each residence is surrounded by lawns with comfortable seating areas and recreational facilities.
This school specialises in Autism and Behaviour Management and makes use of the latest techniques and philosophies to deliver highly personalised programmes of education and care.

There first OFSTED inspection in July 2012, and the School has been graded as Good with Outstanding features. We were awarded Outstanding for Behaviour and for Welfare and Health and Safety.
They provide up to 50 day and extended day placements and full and part time residential placements for children aged 8 - 19 years with mild to severe autism. We now have 27 students aged between 8 -19 year and new starts are taking up a range of day/residential places.
