Theatre Scrub RGN / ODPLocation: HoveSalary: £30,000 - DOE Hours: Full Time Contract Type: PermanentFurther Details: We are currently looking for highly motivated, passionate and enthusiastic Theatre Scrub RGN / ODP to join a friendly and down to earth theatre team at a reputable private hospital in the Brighton & Hove area. The hospital is in a central location and is easily Provide high standard nursing care for patients within the Operating Department and ensuring patient safety and dignity measures are observed at all times. Your main responsibilities will include:Act as a scrubbed member of the nursing team, carrying out safety checks of swabs, instruments and needles in conjunction with a second person and immediately reporting any discrepancies to the Surgeon and Nurse In Charge.Act as a circulating member of the Theatre team.Assisting with other members of the team in the preparation and clearing of Theatres.Assisting with the labelling and despatch of the theatre specimens.Reporting to the Nurse in Charge, incidents, accidents, complaints, defects in drugs supplies or equipment.Assisting in the compiling of the operations register. Maintain accurate patient documentation.To use the correct procedure when handing a patient into the care of another nurse, giving the correct information and instruction.To provide assistance to the Anaesthetist and Surgeon.To undertake ‘on call’ sessions as required.To participate in clinical supervision.What you’ll need:Registered Practitioner with NMC or HCPC registrationGood interpersonal and communication skillsAbility to work as part of a teamAnaesthetic/Recovery course, or ODP qualificationIf you are interested and wish to know more and/or apply please contact Jonathan Spence on jonathan.spence@appointgroup.co.uk or 01489 774209
