We are currently recruiting in our IT team for a Senior Business Analyst-SAP MM.

We are looking for an experienced individual to work in partnership with the Business providing SAP MM-IM system support, innovation, leadership and expertise on day-to-day business activities and project initiatives. The role is responsible for all system aspects of inventory management, stock control, stock movements, external warehouse management systems and stock at third party logistics providers.

Your challenge

In this role the key responsibilities will include:

* To proactively identify business process improvement opportunities & lead process change.
* To understand client requirements. Propose and deliver fit-for-purpose technical solutions.
* To identify & utilize SAP or industry best practice.
* To lead investigations, stakeholder analysis, requirements analysis, feasibility studies & impact assessments.
* To review proposed benefits & highlight any risks/issues in new/redesigned processes/solutions.
* To provide assessment of costs, timescales and resource requirements.
* To ensure solutions implemented across organization are aligned to UTM standards and Audit requirements.
* To manage full life-cycle project implementations and/or lead project work stream delivery using recognized standard methods & tools.
* To be responsible for collaboration across Project Teams, UTM & Business.
* To be responsible for Blueprint design, WRICEF creation and delivery.
* To be responsible for creating Functional and/or Technical specifications.
* To be responsible for the management of 3rd party suppliers & internal technical resource against agreed scope of works, timescales and costs.
* To act as Business Partner for allocated business areas & to gain awareness of business needs, manage customer expectations, build and maintain relationships.
* To advise where IT can add value to existing systems/processes; innovate and lead change.
* To provide overall direction, guidance and definition of SAP functionality to effectively support business strategy.
* To work in partnership with UTM IT Competency Centre framework.
* To support colleagues & develop a network in your aligned CC to recommend & develop technical/process improvements at Group & Local level.
* To be responsible for the preparation & delivery of all prerequisite technical documentation & post-deployment support/training documentation.
* To undertake hands-on system & master data configuration, specification, modification & testing of new developments/fixes.
* To execute system configuration, development, prototyping & testing in prescribed pre-Production environments.
* To provide development of test plans/scripts, performing tests, documenting results & defect management.
* To provide regression testing.
* To evaluate requirements & provide best practice solutions compliant with UTM Global Templates & leveraging SAP standard product offerings.
* To provide hands-on support for integrated SAP platform and dependent systems within specific area of expertise.
* To provide management of subject area workload - task allocation & prioritization, progress-tracking, task delivery & issue resolution.
* Software licensing; to monitor compliance for applications in your subject area.
* To maintain technical & non-technical skills in line with your current Job role, Application support requirements & industry best practice.
* To mentor, develop and support Business Analysts in your subject area.
* To identify training opportunities to improve efficiency & self-sufficiency. Deliver fit-for-purpose training material and sessions.

Key skills & experience

* SAP Certification in MM modules is essential.
* IT degree or equivalent is desirable.
* ITIL v2/v3 Foundation qualified is desirable.
* Full UK Driving License is desirable; willingness to undertake travel within UK as required.
* Extensive / demonstrable SAP MM-IM technical experience in SAP ECC6.
* Preferred SAP LE-WM technical experience in SAP ECC6 environment.
* Experience of leading SAP project implementations/work streams and business change in large organizations.
* Excellent MM-IM implementation & support expertise in a multi-company, multi-plant, batch managed, short shelf life manufacturing environment.
* Excellent MM-PUR implementation & support expertise - master data, release strategy, output determination, pricing procedures
* Good understanding of inter-company processes, including stock transport orders, inter-site stock movements, deliveries
* Good understanding of IDOCS - distribution model, partner profiles, monitoring
* Good WM implementation & support expertise - master data, pick and placement strategies, organization elements, interface to MM-IM
* Good understanding & experience of SD, PP-PI, CO-PC, CO-PA, FI-GL, QM interfaces
* Ability to organize and facilitate workshops. Able to collaborate with clients and have a strong desire to drive solutions.
* Previous experience in Business Process Modelling, Requirements elicitation and solutions design, build, test and deployment using recognized techniques and tools.
* Skilled user of Microsoft Office applications.
* Beneficial - Good SAP Query knowledge
* Experience of EDI and/or EWM beneficial but not essential
* Technically minded with a strong problem solving ability.
* Confident/self-motivated with the ability to effectively prioritize.
* Good, clear communicator - verbal & written.
* Excellent customer service orientation.
* Capable of building strong partnerships & relationships inside and outside the IT Department in order to achieve shared goals.
* Attention to detail. Care and accuracy of information.
* Willingness to undertake travel within UK as required.
