Senior Application Support Analyst
Upto £35,000 per annum
Warwick The Midcounties Co-operative are seeking an experienced Senior Application Support Analyst to join our in-house technical support team. As Senior Application Support Analyst you will be responsible for providing the highest level of in-house technical support to software applications.

You will be responsible for –

  • Provide on-going support of the application infrastructure within the CIT domain, demonstrating a high level of technical skill sets
  • Work with the business to understand issues and requirements, undertake root cause analysis of issues and deliver technical changes
  • Manage and deliver technical change controlling quality, time and cost, following the CAB process and writing/maintaining support documentation
  • Contribute expertise to project teams including active participation in developing the support model for new applications
  • Assist in defining user test scripts and acceptance criteria on projects within the business areas supported
  • For support matters, manage third party resources and deliverables to SLAs
  • Resolve assigned support calls efficiently and effectively using ITIL aligned processes, with the maximum amount of customer care and within agreed SLAs
  • Proactively monitor and manage incidents and work requests (standard and non-standard), balancing these workloads to meet service level agreements
  • Proactively identify and propose application system changes, better uses, enhancements and developments where this will drive efficiencies for IT and/or improvements for business users.
Previous experience –

    Computer Science degree or equivalent through experienceMinimum of 3 years technical experience in applications support or development, including fault finding and resolution
Technical Skill Profile -

    SQLLinux/UnixScripting experience (Bash or similar)Oracle Fusion Middleware Exposure (Desirable)Technical background in the systems of the business area(s) supported with relevant qualificationsBusiness acumen and proven track record of customer serviceSolid understanding of ITIL; ITIL v3 Foundation Certification (Desirable)
