I am currently searching for an IT Support Engineer to join an International leader in cloud-based portfolio analytics and data solutions.

With offices over 9 countries, you will be based out of their London (Wimbledon) Head Office reporting into IT Service Delivery Manager and working with IT, Client Services and Development Resources in multiple sites.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Management and operation of our automation systems
  • Application management and troubleshooting
  • Scripting and light development to support the cloud platforms
  • Bridge between development and IT to troubleshoot issues
  • Monitoring the helpdesk by assigning, escalating and resolving tickets
  • Monitoring and responding to operational alerts
  • VMware infrastructure management and operation
  • Microsoft SQL server and Windows Server management and operation
  • Citrix farm management
  • Adhering to security responsibilities, including the following:
    • Acting in accordance with my clients information security policies and IT procedures (ISO27001 and SSAE16 Type II)
    • Reporting security events, potential events or other security risks
  • Protecting assets from unauthorized access, disclosure, modification, destruction or interference
  • Responsibility for the information security of tasks assigned to you

Essential Experience:

  • Understanding of development concepts
  • Scripting experience
  • Understanding of programming languages
  • Experience with Microsoft Server and Active Directory environments

Desirable Experience:

  • Experience with Citrix XenApp
  • Client facing experience
  • Experience with public cloud providers
  • Experience with database technologies such as Microsoft SQL server, Postgres and Oracle.
  • Experience with VMware vSphere

Qualifications:

  • Must have a relative Degree e.g Computing, Computer Science, Computer Engineering etc

  • Strong communicator with excellent written communications skills.

  • Enthusiasm and a willingness to learn
  • Flexible
  • Deadline driven
  • Self-motivated, able to work independently and with others with minimal supervision
