As part of Muller UK and Ireland group, Muller Milk and Ingredients is a fresh milk, cream and butter business with a network of dairies servicing customers throughout the country; with rapid and continued organic growth and confirmation of substantial investments in upgrading our network of dairies in Britain, it is an exciting time to join us. With this in mind, we are currently looking for a Weekly Paid Shift Engineer at our Manchester Dairy, to safely deliver cost effective maintenance activities to site assets inline with our annual maintenance plan and situational demands. As a Shift Engineer, you will actively seek and implement new improvement methods to increase reliability, actively observing, diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical equipment and machinery in a safe and proper manner through the site SIC process. You will process and carry out planned and preventative maintenance to agreed schedules and interpret and implement technical service instruction data relating to the machinery and equipment. Key Responsibilities: * Coaching of operators with asset care tasks * Support the Site roadmaps for Quality / H S / EMS / Engineering / Autonomous maintenance. * Use and support simple 5WHY CI techniques / RCA techniques. * Use and support departmental 5s programmes for workshops. * Support the department with internal and external audits Skills and Experience: * Strong interpersonal and communication skills, enabling effective planning and organisation * Ability to make logical decisions that will resolve potential problems with a positive can do attitude * Capable of prioritising own work load to achieve operational and personal targetsPC literate, good mechanical / electrical aptitude * Educated to ONC / HNC or equivalent in either mechanical / electrical discipline * Proven track record in a maintenance environment The Process If you are interested in helping us to engineer our future and would like to be considered for this role please apply at [URL removed]
