Our client is one of London's leading private hospitals with over 30 years of experience providing world class healthcare. They offer services to inpatients, day case and outpatients and a range of specialties with rapid assessment, intervention and treatment. This particular hospital is a dedicated facility offering treatment and expert care for cancer and blood disorders. The hospital is a JACIE accredited bone marrow unit and also offers all the latest treatments to patients across radiotherapy and immunotherapy.
We are currently looking to recruit some Staff Nurses to work on the Haematology ward of the hospital. This is an exciting opportunity for Medical & Surgical nurses to specialise in their career. Our client will offer extensive training in cancer care to include a chemotherapy course.
Working alongside the Senior Staff Nurses on the ward you will be responsible for ensuring the right standard of care is provided to all patients at all time. Your responsibility will cover all aspects of patient care, ensuring to be fully supportive to patients at all times. You will have an innate ability to quickly identify any issues or concerns and act accordingly. You will benefit from a low nurse to patient ratio so you are able to implement a high standard of care to your patients and being fully involved in their recovery. Working as part of the team you will be competent across Venepuncture, Cannulation and Phlebotomy, carrying out these tasks on a daily basis while maintaining a safe environment for patients under your care. You will also be assigned other ad hoc duties as required by senior members of staff
To be considered for this role you will have at least 1-year experience working in an acute setting with some exposure to oncology/haematology. As part of your role with involve IV, Phlebotomy and Cannulation, you will be competent in these areas however training can be offered if necessary. You will be working as a part of a close-knit team so will have excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills. Working in this field of nursing requires you to be a caring and compassionate nurse with good attention to detail and the ability to work well under pressure.
