My Client is recruiting for an IT Category Manager to join a prestigious organisation. You will be required to tender for the following categories Hardware, Software, Licensing, cloud computing and IT consultancy. It’s important you can come in and hit the ground running with little supervision, provide progress reports and have knowledge of working within large scale projects.
You will be working on multiple technology tenders for a number of projects across the organisation ensuring that all procurement activity is fit for purpose and provide best value to the project. Engage with internal stakeholder's to gain an understanding of their requirements on all projects, then the role will require the candidate to go out to market, negotiate terms and manage ongoing supplier management.

· Is natural and articulate around senior management. Good listening skills and able to focus on issues critical to senior managers. Can deliver communication concisely and steer the issues to decisions needed.
· Organisational Agility. Understands how organizations work. Can sense relationships that are not apparent from organizational charts. Understands relationships between businesses, functions, boards, and shareholders.Success in developing and training teams.Good interpersonal, presentation and negotiation skillsCan learn new skills and pick up on technical aspects quickly.Customer Focus. Qualifications:Relevant business degree (desirable) or equivalent intellectual statusMembership of relevant professional bodies (desirable)Experience, Knowledge & skills:Knowledge of procurement systems and supply chainProven contract negotiation skills.Strong interpersonal communications and the ability to work independently and across multiple functions.Success in working with teams.Rigorous and inquisitive with ability to manage multiple tasks.Results driven, highly professionalism individual who comfortably relates to many different types of people.Ability to travel within UK / EU and occasionally internationally
