TTM have an exciting opportunity with a prestigious private hospital based in Central London….
TTM are currently recruiting some Radiology nurses to work in a very prestigious private hospital in Central London. They have several units spanned across two prestigious areas of London focused on providing world-class treatment to their patients. They have an expansive team of over 300 consultants who are supported by expertly qualified nurses offering care in various specialities including: Diagnostic & Radiology services, Oncology, Ophthalmology, Cardiology, Urology, Cosmetic, Dialysis & Endoscopy. The hospital itself has 250 beds, 12 theatres and endoscopy suite and a large ICU department.
Reporting into the ward manager you will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of the highest standard of care to patients on the ward. You will encapsulate the ethos of the hospital supporting patients through their journey. Part of your day to day will involve cannulation, phlebotomy, managing peripheral & central IV devices and the delivery of chemotherapy. A vital part of your role will be ensuring you provide clinical leadership to all members of staff on the shift. You will have an extensive knowledge of oncology condition and the ability to recognise emergencies in adequate time. You will also play a key role in the planning and implementation of new policies and procedures in line with current practices in Oncology care. You will also support junior members of staff with triage. Working in oncology does require you to be experienced in end of life care and the ability to adequately provide this care to patients when required. Part of your role as a senior member of staff will also be to ensure that documentation is kept up to date and accurate.
To be considered for this role you will have at experience of working in oncology nursing. You will have completed a chemotherapy course and have a good knowledge of cytotoxic drugs along with a good knowledge of oncology conditions, emergencies and end of life care. Working as a senior staff nurse you will be required to be a good team leader to junior members of staff and the ability to take control of shift when required. You will be a caring and compassionate nurse with strong attention to detail and the ability to work well under pressure. Working as part of a team you will have excellent communication skills and be a good team player
