Email and Marketing Campaign Manager - £30-£35k - Finance Recruitment

This is an exciting opportunity to join a client working in a specialist recruitment area with it’s own marketing platform.

They are creative and knowledgeable about their market and need more talent in the marketing team to help with their growth. As part of the marketing growth they are looking for an email and marketing campaign manager to support them in these efforts.

In this role you’ll be expected to work with the managing director and all the sector and country teams to identify, prepare and deliver appropriate product and marketing messages to their target market groups. They need you to get up to speed with the sector and their processes super quickly so that you can add real value.

They’ve learned from experience with a couple of mis-hires that the person who works best here needs to be prepared to listen to what their people say and build on their knowledge. They don’t want someone who thinks they know best – they operate in a small, discreet and complex market where mistakes can easily damage their reputation. But they do want you to be creative and add to their discussions. Whilst your initial focus will be implementation, they expect you to have the potential to be able to add strategic value to the business as you get up to speed with what they do and how they do it. They want you to move the business forward and will reward you for doing so.

You will be familiar with email campaigns and need to have basic to medium level expertise in html in order to use their own purpose built email campaign tool. You’ll also need to be good with data to be able to test what works and think about how to improve engagement rates. The success of their business is built on relationships rather than products: they need to get to know people and they need to get to know this client and they use their marketing to identify the right people and then deliver products and services of real value to them.

An eye for design is a necessity in this role and expertise in Photoshop, InDesign and PowerPoint would be a big plus. They also use a variety of other software products as well as social media, so an enthusiasm for all things digital is key.

You will be required to be able to produce first draft copy for campaigns as well as for interactions with the press. You should be able to take a piece of their research and produce enticing material for the consultants and managing director to use in the media.

Every day will be different. You’ll have some fixed points with the balance of your time focused on special projects. One day you might be enticing bulge bracket bankers to engage with this client and on another you might be disseminating thought leadership on developing a gender diverse culture where all team members can flourish. Whatever you are working on, your day will fly by.

This is a lovely team based in Covent Garden, hard-working during the day, with a nice sensible finish time of 6pm as work-life balance is important to them. They’ve been in business for 20 years, are established and well thought of in their niche and still growing alongside their market.
