Company Description

You would be joining a company who offers a service of special needs schools and supported care brings in students from both the UK and abroad.

As well as specialising in schools the company also specialise in care homes for young adults and adults, which this position is for.

The Role

Your main responsibilities as Registered Manager are to manage the care home, which is no more than 10 residents and develop plans alongside the head of learning and principle.

You’d be supporting the residents and their families, whilst managing the staff and monitoring a budget. You’d closely monitor the care plan to ensure that the best possible standard of care is adhered to.

The age of the service users is 19+ and you’d not only develop your rapport with the staff & SU, you’d also develop links with the local community and community based services. The service users have Learning Difficulties, Challenging Behaviours and some do require personal care.

Qualifications and Skills

For this role at the absolute minimum the Registered Manager must be working towards the Level 5 in Leadership & Management and have experience of managing staff.

Ideally, you’d have your Level 5 and have managed a similar environment care home, again, this isn’t essential.

Key attributes for the job of Registered Manager is that you are very organised and proactive with good knowledge of CQC procedures and processes and that all plans are up to date.

The salary you’d achieve as Registered Manager is between £25,000 to £33,000 depending on your background, if you do not hold the Level 5 but you are working towards it, your salary will reflect this but you’ll have salary reviews once you have obtained the qualification.
