Salary £22,128 - £28,746 pa + HCAS £3,553 - £4,527 pa - Perceptorship will be offered to newly qualified nurses with a further increment awarded on attainment.

The role of Integrated Community Teams within Bromley is to provide high quality; effective community based health services that reflect the needs of the local population and complement the work of the general practitioners to provide high quality care to our patients.

Bromley Healthcare has a number of exciting Community Nurse opportunities in our Integrated Community Teams across the Borough. The Community Staff Nurse is a valued and integral member of the Nursing Team within the Integrated Community Team and is responsible for ensuring the effective provision of nursing care to an identified population within her/his competency. She/he may act up for the District Nurse and will regularly take charge of a nursing caseload when the relevant competencies have been achieved.

Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

* To visit patients in their own homes as well as residential care homes and provide a comprehensive range of clinical nursing activities.
* Administer IV drugs, complex wound management, health promotion and medicines management, End of life care, and symptom controls, as well as a high standard of holistic assessment and care planning are examples of the sort of skills you would need to demonstrate, or be willing to learn as a Community Staff Nurse.

This is a challenging and exciting position where you will be supported both within your teams by regular clinical reflection and professional training.

Your normal pattern of work will be agreed with you by your Line Manager subject to the needs of the Employer, flexible working arrangements (agreed by you and your Line Manager) and the Working Time Regulations. The rota will be pre-planned and will include various shift patterns that fall between the hours of 8 am - 22.30 pm examples of these shifts are:

8.15 am - 16.15 pm
10.45 am - 18.45 pm
14.30 am - 22.30 pm

Please note these shifts are subject to variation.

In addition you will be required to work a minimum of 1 weekend in 4 weeks (there is flexibility to work more should you wish).
