ROQ is a software testing consultancy and is now recruiting a Senior Test Automation Engineer to join the company at an impressive time of growth as we celebrate our 8th Birthday.

About the role

As a Senior Test Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for the planning, execution and management of automated testing activities, working as part of a wider delivery team.

The role is predominantly technical and requires a software developer/engineer who has successfully harnessed your considerable development skills to the task of delivering functional test automation.

As a Senior Test Automation Engineer, you will offer ROQ proven experience in delivering test automation, or can prove that your skills are transferable to suit this need.

Key responsibilities

  • Design and develop test scripts using automated testing solutions
  • Stakeholder management as part of a wider project team
  • Liaise with SMEs within client businesses to support testing activities
  • Provide updates to account managers and leadership team on client delivery
  • Provide support and mentoring to the wider test automation team
  • Provide input for commercial statements of work
  • Proven experience of working in a senior test automation role
  • A deep understanding of web technologies (e.g. HTML, HTML5, JavaScript, Ajax)
  • Experienced in Object-Oriented programming (e.g. Java or C#) and the use of the Page Object Model
  • Experience of Continuous Integration environments
  • Familiarity with a broad range of testing tools, and where appropriate the ability to influence appropriate tool choice dependent on client requirements
  • Experience using test management tools for planning, execution and reporting (e.g. Bugzilla, JIRA, HP Quality Centre, TestRail)
