We are currently recruiting for a market leading pharmaceutical organisation with an exciting new opportunity working as a Key Account Manager within the Ophthalmology market. This exciting role will be working across the whole of Scotland. In this role, you will bring sales success from your managed territory and establish our client's products as the treatments of choice in appropriate patients in appropriate indications as directed by line management.

Essential Requirements:
Degree level qualifications, ideally B.Sc. or extensive previous hospital sales experience.
Candidates with Ophthalmology, Medical Device sales experience and willing to take ABPI will be considered.
Previous Formulary success is highly desired.
Self-starter with an autonomous can-do attitude.
Sufficient gravitas to be able to hold peer-peer conversations with KOLS.
A minimum two years working in the Pharmaceutical industry in a similar role as a Hospital Representative or in a Primary and Secondary care environment or an experienced market access professional.
A current driving licence with no more than 6 points.

Role Responsibilities:
To bring sales success from your managed territory.
Establish and enhance the reputation of the company as a scientific Pharmaceutical based organisation and partner of choice for Consultant Clinicians in the specialist's areas in which the company is present.
Gain positive formulary decisions at Trust & CCG level for the products.
To identify and target Secondary Care KOLs for the range and manage your time as appropriate to maximise the impact in your respective territories.
To identify and target the key Ophthalmology Trusts/Accounts on your territory and manage your time as appropriate to maximise the impact in your respective territories.
Call upon associated Healthcare professionals who have a role in treating relevant diseases.
To maximise the impact on key payor contacts within your local CCGs, gain formulary acceptance, identify and instigate medicine change opportunities and manage the overall relationship with your local payor community.
Communicate complex and intricate scientific concepts, present the data and arguments in a credible and understandable style appropriate to your audience.
Deliver as required presentations to departments on products and relevant medical education.
Facilitate the formulary adoption of products on to NHS Hospital Trusts & formularies within your territory.
Notify the larger organisation of any environmental blocks or issues which are hindering the use of products.
At all times working within the ABPI code of practice and meet the standards of ethical practice.
Attend when required national and regional sales/training meetings.
Effectively organise your time and manage your territory to maximise sales and contacts with relevant customers.
