Orchard Care Homes – Penwortham Grange & Lodge, PR1
Hours - 33 hours per week and must be flexible to work either days or nights
Pay £7.05-£7.50 dependent on age

Penwortham Grange & Lodge - a modern and bright care home in Penwortham, specialising in care for older people. Penwortham Grange provides 24-hour residential care for 44 residents, while the separate Penwortham Lodge gives round the clock additional dementia support for 42 elderly residents.

Be polite, friendly, warm and supportive of residents individual needs

Provide the highest level of personal care (supporting with toileting, bathing etc.) relevant to the needs of each individual residents care plan.

Enjoy a busy environment - helping to serve meals and ensuring the resident’s rooms and the home are kept clean, pleasant and welcoming at all times

Ability to communicate with older people and be interested in their needs

Either have experience, or a willingness to learn more, about dementia and how to support residents with complex physical needs

Basic literacy skills (to be able to read care plans and worksheets, and to record details in care plans)

-->Eager to complete all training relevant to your role including the QCF/NVQ level two and The Care Certificate for staff new to care.
