Would you like to work for a Nursery that received "outstanding" within their recent and current Ofsted inspection?

Then I would like to hear from you?

I am recruiting for a fantastic nursery, within village settings, for a Room Leader position to work within the pre-school room and with children between the ages of 3-4 years.

The role will be full-on and you will be engaging with inquisitive minds and playful spirits, offering encouragement and praise when necessary, while maintaining a safe environment.

You will be a strong keyworker, planning and delivering both child and adult led activities while following the Early year`s framework, developing each individual child to become independent before leaving for school while also completing the day-to-day duties of the room including snack and mealtime support and personal hygiene.

The nursery is large and bright with 5 rooms and offering childcare for ages 0-4 years. The garden also boasts a spacious outdoor area while also offering up to date indoor play equipment and activities as well as enrichment activities including Spanish, dance, monkeynastics and walks.

The nursery encourages a home-from-home feel with a friendly team and a strong eagerness for parents and adults to be involved in the nursery and of course their child development.

The responsibilities of Preschool Room Leader will include:

- Promote high standards of quality within the nursery in respect of the environment, resources and experiences offered to children.
- Provide professional and relevant feedback to parents/carers about their child.
- Ensure all records of development and learning are fully and accurately maintained by the appropriate staff.
- Ensure that planning meetings take place regularly.
- Provide leadership and support to playroom staff to enable them to establish and maintain positive working relationships.
- Ensure that practice and provision in the nursery meets the requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage.
- Ensure the effective implementation of the nursery key carer procedures and allocate children to key carers appropriately.
- Undertake a shared responsibility for health safety and cleanliness throughout the nursery.
- Adhere to all health and safety policy and procedures.
- Be fully aware of all emergency and security procedures.
- Support the Nursery Manager and staff during inspections by regulatory bodies and assist in the implementation of any recommendations.
- Promote the nursery to current parents and potential customers.
- Support and supervise playroom staff with their day-to-day duties.
- Support and mentor staff and students.

This is a full-time permanent role and working on either a 4 or 5-day shift pattern. Salary dependent on skills and experience but competitive.
