Interim Quality Manager – Aerospace

About the client

Our client are a manufacturing business that specialise in precision fabrications and assemblies.

Job Purpose:

To manage the Quality Engineering, Systems, Audit, Inspection, Metrology and NDT Functions

Interim Quality Manager - Aerospace

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

·Maintain the company approval scope including ISO9001/AS9100, and customer requirements and host all relevant external audit activity

·Develop and implement systems and procedures as necessary in order to maintain continued functional compliance, and shall be afforded the power of veto as necessary

·Develop and participate in activities that improve the ‘customer experience’

·Be responsible for the control, distribution and traceability of all manufacturing documentation

·Create, maintain and execute an internal/external audit program considering both internal functions and supply chain

·Provide a ‘Quality Thinking’ approach to support production and transactional processes

·Create and Maintain dynamic KPIs to measure internal and supply chain process performance and produce and present a monthly ‘Quality Pack’ to Senior Management and Customers

·Maintain the company calibration register for all equipment, tooling and gauging

·Provide Monitoring and Governance of company Non Conformance (inc Yield and Right First Time (RFT) strategies) whilst also providing Root Cause Analysis (RCA) facilitation.

·Apply Industrial process control tools (Process mapping, MSA, PFMEA, Control Plans, DCM, FVRA) where applicable

·Provide input to help other functions on product validation processes FAI & PPAP

·Own, Lead or sponsor company projects/initiatives

·Be responsible for the Quality team performance, appraisal and conduct

·Understand and work within all Company policies
