Home Manager - Nursing Home for Elderly
Salary: Upto £55K + Benefits - dependent on experience

Our client is a leading provider of care to the elderly, with over 40 nursing homes and specialist hospitals throughout the UK. Through their nursing homes they are committed to delivering high quality care and unique packages to the elderly.

This care group is renowned for providing the ‘little touches’ which make a Nursing home a true Home to its residents, including live music, fresh flowers, community pets and most importantly- genuinely caring staff.

The role

The Home Manager holds responsibility for the effective management and administration of the Home, in line with the Group’s Policies and Legal Requirements to agreed budgets and to provide a caring environment that meets the individual needs of the Residents.
The home has 70 beds and provides nursing and residential care to the elderly. The home has a large number of EMI patients so experience with this client group essential if the applicant is not an RMN already.

The Home Manager is responsible for every member of staff and for the well-being of all residents in the Home and is professionally accountable and responsible for the quality of the service and financial performance. Of critical importance is the homes standing with local community and the Care Quality Commission.

Key Responsibilities

*To run a high quality registered nursing home, providing an innovative, active, and progressive care service, utilising best practice guidelines , while ensuring Residents safety and welfare is of paramount importance at all times.
*Achieve a 'Good' CQC rating.
*Ensure all safeguarding and compliance procedures are acted upon in a timely manner.
*Ensure that appropriate staff are recruited, retained, motivated and deploy the staff resource to provide an appropriate service to residents within the budget for staffing.
*Ensure proper management of all finances available to the home, within EBITDAR budget.
*To effectively manage the home so the finance viability is maintained, retaining all cost in line with the budget.
*Achieve budgeted occupancy and weekly fee levels.
*Develop the reputation of the home through active community involvement.
