Our partner is an international non-profit organisation based in Cambodia that alleviates poverty by providing underprivileged young adults with the education and vocational training needed to support themselves as hospitality/tourism professionals.
The programme targets underprivileged young adults aged 16 to 22. The programme currently has three phases:
1. At each partner site, which include orphanages, community centres, and schools, volunteers teach an introductory hospitality course. The course is designed to introduce youth to the hospitality industry and to foster professional skills.
2. For students motivated to pursue a career in the hospitality industry, scholarships are offered to attend the most highly regarded vocational schools in Cambodia.
3. Upon graduation, the students are assisted through the employment process and their progress is monitored and supported.
The organisation requires a volunteer to come in early January for 3 weeks to help with the end of year finances as well as assess if Quickbooks is being used efficiently.
