Technical Services Manager
Our client has a 6 month fixed term contract vacancy for a Technical Services Manager, working in partnership with the project teams to ensure that the technical services / warehouse tasks are executed in the required timeframes.
You will provide leadership to your team and manage their ongoing personal development plans and to ensure that the service delivery meet the internal customer requirements and maintain the standard. In addition, you will ensure strong financial control and planning within Technical Services and to ensure systems and processes are always up-to-date and adhered too.
Be the main point of contact at a Senior Level for all queries with the internal customers. Maintaining a positive relationship at all times.
Attend implementation meetings with project teams upon commencement of new projects to discuss the involvement with Technical Services
Support the team with the process and ensure that is reviewed with them at regular intervals, so that they are supported in meeting their objectives.
To work with Operations Support Manager to implement Kronus into Technical Services.
Produce and maintain an exhaustive document suite of all processes in Technical Services.
Continuously analyse all areas of the department including, Hotstage Trackers, Logistics expenditure, Resourcing levels, error rate and the reduction of cost.
Working in conjunction with the Business Plan to ensure that innovation and improvements of the Technical Services department continuously evolve.
To support the wider team with the development and upskilling of the departmental managers and encourage the manager to adopt the same principles throughout the department.
To implement a robust communication strategy for the department and encourage the team to embrace the wider teams.
To ensure that legal and company standards are maintained within Technical Services by ensuring that you are abreast of the changes to policies and legislation.
Advising on changes and trends in the marketplace and the activities of competitors.
To implement a suite of KPI’s to the department, ensuring buy in from managers and team.
Experience of working within a warehouse, logistic or Technical environment
Experience of managing a large team from various disciplines
Understanding of IT solutions (e.g., EPoS and Wireless technologies)
Knowledge of H&S and electrical regulations
Can recognise and cultivate new ideas & opportunities.
Experience of working within a growing / changing environment
Leading and developing a high-performing team
Proven experience of implementing new systems
Experience of multiple area management
