And as a member of our team, we’ll look after you too, with rewarding work and fulfilling opportunities.As an ODP, you will provide exemplary care for patients in need of perioperative intervention. Taking on the specialist role in anaesthetics, you’ll support the management and organisation of care provision in the operating theatre, working closely with the theatre manager and your dedicated colleagues to address each individual’s health and wellbeing needs. Working with 160 Consultants across a variety of specialities, you will also take up external and internal development opportunities such as Surgical First Assistant Training as well as Advanced Life Support training to ensure you remain at the forefront of your field. You will take particular care to ensure every patient understands how and why the team will be working together to make the difference they deserve.If you choose to join this dynamic team, you will benefit from a full induction programme, plus all the senior management support you could possibly need to excel in the role. In turn, you will be an NMC or HPC Registered Nurse with a recognised Anaesthetic or ODP qualification and proven experience as a perioperative practitioner in multi-disciplinary teams. Used to applying your clinical reasoning skills to a range of complex and varied patient cases, you will have the confidence to challenge consultants - where appropriate - to influence evidence-based practice. With a working knowledge of infection control and health and safety practice, and competent in the use of equipment and medical devices, you will take pride in everything you do.
