It’s an exciting time to join us: KMPT has been rated Outstanding for Caring and Good overall in our most recent CQC inspection in January 2017!An opportunity has arisen fora Band 6 occupational therapists to join the team at Coleman House in Dover.You will be involved in carrying out occupationally focused assessments and planning and delivering interventions, both with individuals, their carers and to groups. Occupational therapy is valued in the team and plays an essential part in facilitating client’s personal recovery, restoration of well being and timely discharge. You will need to be clinically confident and competent in working with individuals in community settings and be able to work effectively in both the ‘OT Team’ and as part of the multi disciplinary team. You will be required to have at least 2 years experience of working in a mental health setting. You should have a collaborative and enthusiastic style, as well as a passion and commitment to develop and promote recovery orientated practice. This is an interesting time to join when services are being redesigned, so foresight and the desire to make a difference are essential. This post requires that you are a good communicator, and are able to adopt a flexible, adaptable and proactive approach to your work. You will benefit from encouragement to continue to develop your own specialist skills, knowledge and competence through participation, reflection, supervision and training and your development will be guided using appraisal and the KSF framework.
