Purpose of Role/Job Summary:
To use proven sales techniques to present the company's capabilities to potential clients and to create opportunity for successful sales. This will be through meeting new clients and developing relationships with existing key accounts.
The post-holder will be able to combine tenacity and confidence to identify and open doors to potential clients in our target markets with the technical knowledge to persuade them that our services will meet their requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
Responsible for the following categories of work as directed:
- Develop an implement proven sales techniques such as SPIN to understand and respond to client's needs effectively.
- Search for and identify new leads through internet, social media monitoring subscriptions, new databases, partners etc. and organise meetings and calls to get the companyinvolved as early as possible in the sales cycle
- Maintain our relationships with existing clients to ensure an understanding of their changing needs and to develop client profiles and action plans
- Track and manage prospects through the company CRM database with client information and to provide sales campaign information and management reports
- To be a point of contact for clients and to follow the full sales process from identification of the opportunity, preparing of proposals right through to closing out the contract.
- To organise sales visits, presentations and lunch & learn opportunities with potential clients.
- To attend, exhibit and present at trade events and conferences and lunch & learns
- To gain technical understanding of the Marine Equipment services and other services to be able to make presentations that persuade potential clients that our proposition fits their needs
- To understand client requirements and present these to the in-house designers and project managers to ensure the product will satisfy the client needs
- To support the completion of the tender to the client's schedule After tender submission to maintain follow-up dialogue with the client through to close out
- To travel to company offices and client sites in the UK and worldwide to attend meetings, collect information etc. as required.
- A consultative, professional sales approach demonstrating strong questioning techniques with the ability to uncover and understand the potential customer(s) needs and issues, and the confidence to present the appropriate solution to maximise the opportunity
- Experienced in outbound calling and lead generation, will be at ease in establishing initial contact with prospects by telephone with a targeted plan of action and be able to build rapport within a very short timeframe

The role should achieve the following objectives
- Achievement of annual sales targets
- Maintenance of CRM records and continual improvement of CRM numbers
- New clients added
- Ability to self-manage and self-motivate with a genuine hunger for success and target driven
