Senior Software Engineer - C#, ASP.Net, MVC, JavaScript, Angular - URGENT - Crewe - Salary up to £45,000 depending on experience plus benefits including highly competitive rewards and benefits package, a generous salary, company bonus scheme, great social events, child care vouchers and a subsidised canteen on site.

The Role

An ambitious Senior Software Engineer (C#, ASP.Net, MVC, JavaScript, Angular) is urgently required to join an industry leading business based in central Crewe. As a Senior Software Engineer (C#, ASP.Net, MVC, JavaScript, Angular) you will have an integral role in a dynamic team where you will be responsible for the development, testing and implementation of software solutions for business processes. As a highly motivated and enthusiastic Engineer, you will be working on a number of key projects, delivering high quality solutions whilst learning new skills and technologies. Technically you will have at least three to five years .NET web-based experience (MVC/Web API) as well as a proficiency in C#. Responsibilities as follows:

  • Development, implementation and maintenance of solutions for business processes
  • Design/architect software solutions alongside senior members of the team
  • Ownership all technical aspects while mentoring and helping team members
  • Support team members when required
  • Analyse impact of technology choices
  • Deliver high quality solutions
  • Ensure team members follow development guidelines and meet internal quality procedures to deliver high quality solutions
  • Contribute to the improvement of internal DevOps and procedures
  • Demonstrate initiative and creativity to solve problems
  • Proactively shares information across the team
  • Learn new technologies to fulfil business long terms strategies
  • Meet KPIs and contribute to the professional development of the team

The Senior Software Engineer role requirements:

At leas three to five years experience in the following technologies: C#, .net (3.5 or higher), ASP.Net, MVC, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JQuery, Angular, REST, APIs, JSON, Unit testing, RESTful Services, LINQ, XML and Visual Studio IDE and be educated at degree level in Computer Science or Software Engineering or related subject with a minimum of 2:1 classification or equivalent experience.

An understanding of source control (TFS, Git, SVN) and the differences between frontend, mid-tier and backend architecture

Knowledge of SQL Server, T-SQL and Agile development environment using SCRUM

It will be essential for you to have a genuine interest in technology and ideally an interest in the following technologies:

  • Experience with WCF (windows/web services)
  • Experience with Entity Framework/NHibernate
  • Experience with any: JQuery, Angular/knockout/backbone, Bootstrap
  • Experience implementing a Continuous Integration environment
  • Experience with Source control systems (TFS/GIT/SVN)
  • Experience with (IIS 7+)
  • Experience with Agile Development using SCRUM
  • Understanding of SOLID Principles
  • Understanding of TDD (Test Driven Development)
  • Understanding of DDD (Domain Driven Design)
  • Understanding of UML
