This is an opportunity to join a company based in the beautiful landscape of St Asaph, North Wales, a privately owned company established for over 25 years. They are located just off the A55 and less than an hour's drive from Snowdonia National Park and Anglesey, where you can enjoy outdoor activities. They are also less than an hour from Chester and Liverpool if you are interested in taking advantage of the city centres.

The business operates in the photonics market place which is experiencing significant growth. They are currently advertising the opportunity for an experienced/trainee Sales Person to join their close knit, dynamic team who has the desire and ambition to be part of their growing business.

The Role:
- As a Sales Account Manager you will assume responsibility for estimating prices and delivering quotations to your customers. You will be the sole contact for your customers and responsible for all customer service duties. Where appropriate a development plan will be provided to support the individual's development. Once established your role will include the generation of new leads and contacts to support the continued growth of the business
- Sales Forecasting Meetings: You will be responsible for logging of data for your customers and enquiries; this includes the use of a forecast pipeline which will be reviewed on a monthly basis with the Management team. You will present the information you have on forecast projects and enquiries for your customer accounts during this meeting
- Travelling: You will be required to keep in contact with your customer accounts, developing long lasting commercial relationships with customers. Travel will be required in UK and abroad.
- During your introduction period you will have exposure to our products and capabilities as a manufacturer. You will be given a personal development plan which will include differing training requirements dependent upon previous experience

It is expected that the right applicant will have
- Some level of experience of working within a sales role and ideally with a technical background gained in an optics or engineering environment
- Good negotiation skills, be able to manage you own time and be self-motivated
- Familiarisation of sales forecasting, CRM and ERP systems
- Be able to demonstrate a successful track record of delivering sales against targets
- A good standard of education with a good level of Maths and English language skills. Ideally the candidate should have some level of engineering qualification but not essential
- Excellent communication and presentation skills being able to engage with differing audiences
- A clean driving licence
- A genuine interest in our products and the technical specifications is essential as you will need to be able to hold a technically credible dialog with your customers
- Language skills are desirable in particular French, German
- Excellent IT skills with a strong knowledge of Microsoft Office
