World Leading Global Energy Oil Company has an exciting opportunity for a Product Manager : Lubricants Digital Businesses to leads a multidisciplinary team consisting of venture architects, strategic designers, experience designers, subject matter experts, and engineers through an agile-based product development process – e.g., Design, Develop, Learn, Adapt.
About the Role:
The Product Manager role covers three key phases of any product development program:
1.InnovationDuring the Innovation Phase, the product manager works in support of the venture architect to develop the MVP feature set and to ensure a smooth transition to the product development phase. The innovation phase includes human centred design thinking, gaining insights on competitor activities, developing an MVP feature list and three year roadmap and development of early budget and workplan2.Product DevelopmentThe product manager is the leader of the product development phase. At the start of the phase, the product manager authors the Product Brief which serves as the execution blueprint for strategic designers, experience designers and engineers. The product manager also acts as the liaison between the business, customers and team members and may be called upon to make key feature trade-off decisions. During agile sprints, the product manager may act as the scrum master (aka project manager), ensuring that all activities are completed on time and per spec. In the Product Development Phase, the product manager must:•Lockdown the MVP value proposition and feature set•Create, manage and track the product development budget.•Develop user stories detailing customer requirements•Working with engineering, develop the detailed sprint and testing plans•Oversee all aspects of project execution as the agile scrum master (aka project manager)•Working with strategic design, develop and monitor the concept testing plan•Working with experience design, oversee the development of a compelling user experience. 3.CommercialisationDuring commercialization, the product manager is accountable for ensuring that the product is ready to be launched in the desired markets to the desired number of customers. In the Commercialization Phase, the product manager must •Develop the post launch feature roadmap and execution plan.•Communicate new product solution concepts to internal and external audiences•Contribute to the development of thought leadership across a range of emerging business, technology and design topics•Deliver project reviews to support training and development of project team•Coordinate hiring and staffing of innovation and product development team
About You:
•Degree in a Technical Discipline (e.g., Computer Science, Electrical Engineering) MBA or equivalent post-graduate qualification desirable -Eexperience working in the Lubricants/Oil and Gas sector•Ability to influence through persuasive verbal and written communication•Experience with management of product integrations, launches, and change management•Experience leading development, training, and communication of new product introductions•Strong organizational, research, and time management skills Experience setting and managing expectations at the executive level•Ability to manage and own delivery schedule in order to meet aggressive deadlines
