Job Title: Senior Marketing Executive
Job Type: 12 Month FTC (Maternity Cover)
Location: Poole, Dorset
Salary: DOE

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Marketing Executive to join our client's Marketing Department based in Poole.

Supporting the Head of Marketing & Graphics, you will be involved in all aspects of marketing including direct mail, e-marketing, website development and PR and advertising as well as supporting the team where necessary when the Head of Marketing & Graphics is unavailable

Key Responsibilities will include:

* The creation and implementation of the company marketing plan, utilising the full marketing mix and tools available
* Setting measureable objectives within the plan, in line with the business strategy. Analysing the results and reporting the KPI's to the Head of Marketing and Graphics and the Sales Director. Reviewing and providing recommendations for improvements
* Monitoring and maintaining the marketing budget
* Ensuring all marketing communication are within the brand guidelines, including the correct tone of voice for the target audience.
* Researching gaps in sales using the in-house system, customer loyalty and prospecting campaigns; setting offer prices, loyalty schemes and running promotional days with the sales teams
* Catalogue production and sign off of packaging
* Creating and implementing a range of POS as part of the new product launch plan
* Ongoing learning and knowledge of the external environment; such as competitor and customer activities, plus keeping up to date with new technology trends and best practices
* Maintaining product marketing data on the in-house system, writing copy and working with the technical team to ensure all the unique selling points are included and correct
* Maintaining good working relationships with other departments within the organisation and being the point of contact for the sales managers for the brands
* Organising and co-ordinating exhibition stands and attending industry events
* Negotiating with suppliers and publications for the best price and quality
* Suggesting ways to maximise efficiencies
* Ad-hoc duties including sickness and holiday cover as required

Skills / experience required:

* Substantial experience in an established marketing role
* Excellent communication skills across all media and marketing touchpoints
* Experience in working to challenging deadlines and ability to deliver in a timely manner
* Able to establish good working relationships with people across the organisation
* Demonstrates good judgement, problem solving and decision making skills
* Enthusiastic and proactive with good use of initiative
* Excellent written skills and a creative eye
* Highly organised and efficient, with excellent attention to detail
* Effective social media skills to enable you to engage with target audiences
