Catastrophe Risk Analyst
£32,000 - £35,000

Our client, a prestigious Insurance firm based in Central London, are looking to recruit a Catastrophe Risk Analyst to join the Catastrophe Risk Modelling team, assisting in enhancing all of its activities.


- To become expert in the running of the Catastrophe modelling software used by the team
- Assisting the underwriters in the use of any of the catastrophe modelling and associated software
- Preparing output reports and providing analysis to the underwriters to aid them in their quoting process
- Production of presentations when required
- Enhance and develop the day-to-day processes, improving efficiency
- To be aware of and comply with the relevant rules and regulations in relation to financial crime & Conduct
- To assist in reporting to the underwriters and directors in a professional and timely manner
- Conduct relevant research on agreed subjects
- Dealing with changing and conflicting priorities while supporting business development opportunities
- Provide support to the activities of the Catastrophe Risk Modelling team
- Champion the company values and work in accordance with the organisational behaviours


- Must be educated to degree level with at least 2 years` work experience
- Knowledge of catastrophe modelling
- Must have proven experience or an interest within the insurance field
- Highly competent in the use of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to establish and maintain effective relationships both internally and externally
- Able to work on own initiative but equally able to work well within a team
- Strong numerical skills
- Resilience to thrive in a competitive environment
- Ability to deliver results under pressure
- An eye for detail and able to enter data accurately and efficiently
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- Ability to work collaboratively with and through others to deliver results
- Must be willing to learn new things and be a quick learner
- Must be proactive and a self-starter
