Closing date; 5th December 2017 As specialists in online retailing we've been using data to drivedecision making and performance for years. Each year the amount of dataavailable to us and the opportunities to analyse it have increased. Bymaking use of our very own award winning, multi-channel marketingintelligence platform, Forecaster, we can offer our clients theopportunity to utilise this data to increase profits from their online marketing. We are now searching for a self-driven, team player to join our team ofworld class Data Scientists and Statisticians. You will be responsiblefor implementing actionable data-driven analytic projects to help ourclients address their online marketing strategies and also developingpredictive models for main online marketing channels; which will includepaid search, shopping comparison and display advertising. Key Responsibilities; - Transforming large, complex datasets into pragmatic, actionable insights - Query, clean and manage large datasets using SQL - Working and developing statistical code within 'R' which willintegrate with Forecaster core code whilst demonstrating R and codingbest practice - Utilise appropriate statistical data analysis, predictive modelling,and simulation tools to assist decision making - Work to improve existing models through improved accuracy and performance - Conduct research and identify appropriate statistical andcomputational methods, implementing them in code and delivering them to production - Responsible for developing new channels and triggers within the modelor model enhancements - Build effective working relationships within the team and withmembers in other departments - Work with internal teams to understand the business problems andprocesses, identifying opportunities to improve these, throughstatistical modelling and creating actionable insights - Help to identify commercial opportunities through analysis andexploitation of data Desired Skills and Experience Academically strong, you will have a PhD degree in a quantitativediscipline such Maths, Statistics, Computer Science or Physics and haveexperience of statistical data analysis and modelling in a language suchas R. You will need to: - Demonstrate an ability to solve challenging scientific problems - Have experience analysing large data sets and uncovering key insightsthat drive actionable decisions - Demonstrate flexibility whilst working in teams to attain common objectives - Be inherently curious and driven to push the boundaries of knowledge - Develop bespoke statistical models for data analysis - Be a confident programmer in R or Python - Demonstrate an ability to generate robust hypotheses and constructquestions in response to uncertain requests from the wider business - Be able to articulate complex problems and solutions to anon-technical audience - Communicate clearly and effectively - Deliver quality work to tight deadlines No agency CV's accepted. - provided by Dice COMPUTER SCIENCE, DATA ANALYSIS, DEGREE, MARKETING INTELLIGENCE, PHD, PHYSICS, PYTHON, SQL, STATISTICS
