We’ve got a unique opportunity to join the central pitch function of a growing global law firm, acting as the firms lead for bids and proposal framework, strategy and execution. You’ll manage an executive day to day, and help drive pitch best practice both across the wider BD function for sector specific or localised tenders and support the fee earning community ultimately convert more opportunities through the pitch and presentation process. The key themes across the role will be:
- Manage key strategic, multi-practice and cross boarder international pitches for the firm, acting as project lead on a global level
- Embed a proactive and commercial philosophy into the firm to focus on reducing the amount of pitches worked on against increasing win rate through go/no-go strategy.
- Proactively develop key insights, messaging and value add proposals to support panel tenders and pitches associated with the firm’s key client programme, equally playing a key part in the firms pricing and commercial model.
- Act as an ambassador for pitch best practice across the firm, operating as the go to person for global enquiries into winning new business, championing client feedback and post pitch review to ensure continued evolution of the function.
This is a great opportunity for a seasoned bid manager potentially looking to step into a bigger picture role, having more influence over others and firm wide approach to pitching, whilst retaining a hands-on approach to big ticket and key strategic bids.
An understanding of the pitch process from the point of view of a partnership would be hugely advantageous but by no means is previous legal experience a pre requisite, and would equally suit someone from sectors such as real estate or accountancy/big four.
