As Production Shift Maintenance Engineer, the purpose of your role is to service and repair production and packing machine equipment efficiently and effectively as well as undertaking day to day site maintenance tasks working as part of a flexible and customer focused team.
You will work closely with the Engineering & Production Manager and engineering team members to ensure all plant assets are maintained to high standards in order to maximise production efficiencies, facilitate speedy response to all plant stoppages, plan/implement modifications to new and existing equipment, undertake reactive and planned maintenance, make scheduled checks (PPM) on machinery and parts plus be proactive in performing general site maintenance tasks in order to maintain high presentation and working standards of health and safety & site hygiene at all times.
To be considered for the Production Shift Maintenance Engineer role, you will preferably hold mechanical or electrical C&G / HND qualifications (a 50/50 electrical / mechanical bias is ideal) plus have a background of working in a food manufacturing, packaging or similar environment. You will possess good working knowledge of mechanical/electrical systems and PLC controls, have the ability to work under pressure and have an adaptable work approach together with excellent problem-solving skills.
The Production Shift Maintenance Engineer job is based in the London / South East region and is paying up to £35,000 according to individual skills and previous experience. The shift pattern will be a rotation of 6am ? 2pm and 2pm-10pm, however flexibility will be required to meet the needs of the business.
