ENGINEERING MANAGER - NORTH EAST c£60,000-£65,000
A leading pharmaceutical company are looking for an Engineering Manager to join their manufacturing plant in the North East on a permanent basis.
Reporting to the Head of Engineering, the core function of the role will be managing the performance of the Operations Engineering teams (Maintenance, Technical Engineering, EC&I, Asset Support, Utilities / Facilities / Site Services etc.) to ensure compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements, the role will also deliver technically assured engineering solutions whilst achieving world class reliability targets on the manufacturing facilities.
Other duties involve managing a safe working behaviour of the team and third party contractors, demonstrating a high regard for personal and team EHS performance. Deliver the site objectives and grow the business, ensuring delivery to customer satisfaction. Maintain the assets to achieve fully compliant GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) status, and manage all routine maintenance activities on time.
In order to be considered, candidates will ideally need a BEng in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering and worked within a highly regulated industry such as Pharmaceutical / Biotechnology, Chemical to Engineering standards. You will also need experience in managing engineering budgets up to £2 million per year and worked in a GMP environment. It would also be highly advantageous if candidates held Chartership status or working towards.
